Dale Arnold Jarrett born November 26th, 1956 in Newton, North Carolina is a well-known American race car driver.
He is the son of a two-time NASCAR Grand National Champion, Ned Jarrett, and the proud father of Jason Jarrett, a former Busch Series racer. He is also the cousin of Todd Jarrett, the 1996 International Practical Shooting Confederation World Shoot Champion.
After graduating from Newton-Concover High School in 1974, Dale Jarrett was offered a full golf scholarship at the University of South Carolina. Dale Jarrett eventually declined the offer as his heart and soul was on the racing track.

He also competed in the Limited Sportsman Division at Hickory before moving up to the NASCAR Busch Series. Jarrett currently races in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driving exclusively the #44 Toyota Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing.
